Have you managed to get your hands on the Dollfie Dream Official Fan Book yet? No? Well, what are you waiting for? The DD Official Fan Book is packed full of pictures and information, particularly if you’re a fan of the After School Akihabara Girls or the TYPE-MOON x Dollfie Dream series! If you’re still not sure, let me give you a nudge — today, I’ll be giving you a full content review of the DD Official Fan Book!
*Please be aware that the Dollfie Dream Official Fan Book is available in Japanese only.

Dollfie Dream Official Fan Book!
Much like its predecessor, the Dollfie Dream Compilation, the Dollfie Dream Official Fan Book prominently features the After School Akihabara Girls — not only are Natsuki and Moe featured on the cover, recent release DDS Akira is on the front dust flap, and Natsuki presides over the Table of Contents in her Summer Uniform. The insides of the front and rear covers also feature anime-style chibi artwork of all of the Akihabara Girls in their various outfits.
Immediately following are special character profiles on each of the Akihabara Girls released so far — ever wanted to know Natsuki’s birthday, or Moe’s height, or Akira’s hometown? All of that and more is revealed — there’s even information on DDS Ms. Mariko, who hasn’t been released yet as of the time of this writing. Only Alna keeps a few secrets to herself — it’s rude to ask a lady’s age, you know? ^_~
Following the profiles is a chart of all of the Akihabara Girls and how they’re related to each other — have you ever wondered what Akira thinks of Alna, or what Ms. Mariko thinks of Moe? Wonder no more! Even Nanami, Natsuki’s younger sister who we have yet to get a glimpse of, is included. Following the chart is a map of Akihabara as the Akihabara Girls know it — from the maid cafe where Natsuki has a part-time job to Alna’s favorite pub, dive into the world of Akiba and learn the places important to each of the girls!
Akihabara Girls photo gallery!
Next is a huge photo gallery of the Akihabara Girls, starring Moe (1st and 2nd Versions), Natsuki, Alna (1st and White Christmas Versions), and Akira! A whopping 30 pages in length, there are photos of each of the girls in just about every outfit that’s been released for her so far. There’s also some cosplay outfits for Moe and Natsuki — Evangelion, Touhou Project, TYPE-MOON, and even White Album! If you’re a fan of the Akihabara series, the DD Official Fan Book is definitely not to be missed — it’s packed full of content to please even the most demanding fan!
TYPE-MOON x Dollfie Dream photo gallery!
Following the Akihabara photo gallery is a smaller, but no less impressive photo gallery of each of the TYPE-MOON x Dollfie Dream girls! Clocking in at a respectable 16 pages in length, there are gorgeous photos of Saber (1st Version), Saber Alter (1st Version), Saber Lily, Rin, Sakura, and Illya, as well as a teaser photo for what we now know to be Saber (Fate/EXTRA Version)’s weapon.
More DD One-off Models!
Dollfie Dream One-off Models were first introduced in the DD Compilation — do you remember what One-off Models are? Most of our SD owners and longer-term DD owners are probably familiar with the term, but here’s a refresher for newer DD enthusiasts who may not have heard it before: One-Off Models are very special dolls that are released only at Volks events, and are one-of-a-kind in that they have exclusive makeup painted by the Volks Makeup Artists, and are dressed in unique outfits chosen just for them. They are released by lottery only, so the meeting between a One-off Model and its owner is seen as a truly special occasion, determined by destiny and luck.
Prior to Dolls Party 24, only Super Dollfies had ever been released as One-off Models; at Dolpa 24, the first DD One-off Models made their debut, and photos of those very special girls can be seen in the DD Compilation book. Subsequently, a DD One-off Model was auctioned for charity at Dolpa 25, and several One-off Models were lotteried at the DD Festival in Akihabara — all of these girls can be found here in the DD Official Fan Book! All of them used head sculpts from previous limited editions that are now sold out, and several were put on bodies different from the ones they were released on — from a DDdy Tamaki Kousaka to a very special white-skin Yuki Morikawa, there are a total of 6 pages of photos of these gorgeous girls.
Following the One-off Models is something a little fun — have you ever played the game of Life? It’s a popular board game here in the US that lets you follow a person throughout his or her life from birth to retirement, hitting the landmarks of education, vocation, marriage, and parenthood along the way. The Doll Design Department has put together a DD-themed version of Life, where you can follow along the Dollfie Dream “life” from concept to release — using Moe, Natsuki, and Alna playing pieces, track your DD’s development through sculpting, makeup, outfit design, wig design, and animetic eye design! Can you make it safely to release day without any setbacks? Be careful — just like the actual game of Life, there are pitfalls along the way that will send you back to previous stages!
More DD Character Model profiles!
After that fun little detour are the Character Model profiles! Beginning where the DD Compilation left off, there are profiles for every Dollfie Dream released in the time period between the publication of the DD Compilation and the publication of the DD Official Fan Book. Full specifications are included on every girl, and each profile includes exclusive information from the DD team in the Doll Design Department on that particular girl — from Volks characters to collaboration models, they’re all here!
Following the Character Model profiles is an in-depth look at the new Dollfie Dream Sister body! Featuring detailed photos of the DDS physique and poseability, this new, petite base body is sure to pique your interest! There’s also photo demonstrations on how to attach and detach the DDS arms, hands, upper torso internal frame, thighs, and lower legs, as well as a step-by-step guide on how to change the bust piece. Finally, there’s a page listing all of the currently available optional parts for the DDS body.
Last but not least, the final section of the book is dedicated to DD photography! See the winners and runners-up for the 2nd DD Photo Contest, and learn from the Doll Design Department on how to take better DD photos — there’s also a tutorial on how to make a proper backdrop for your indoor photos.
Finally, there’s one last surprise — on the rear flap of the dust jacket is a template for a miniature DD Official Fan Book, perfectly sized for your DDs! Those of you who have already made a DD-sized DD Compilation will be glad to have this companion volume for your girls — don’t know how to use the template? The tutorial on how to make miniature DD books can be found in the DD Compilation, which has step-by-step photo instructions. ^_~
I hope you enjoyed this review of the Dollfie Dream Official Fan Book. Overall, this is a great companion to the Dollfie Dream Compilation, with lots of gorgeous photography and interesting information. If you’re interested in the Akihabara Girls, TYPE-MOON x Dollfie Dream, or just DDs in general, please do go and pick up a copy of the DD Official Fan Book today!
