Showcase ~ Mr. Cement S

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Welcome back!

Here is yet another blog post for all of you modelers out there!

Mr. Cement S is an extra-thin cement that does not contain any styrene resin.

When I say extra-thin, I mean extra thin. This stuff flows like water and dries extremely quickly, nearly instantly. We recommend using it in tight spaces. Because it is so thin, a small drop will run down the line of a joint easily and smoothly, bonding them well as it goes.

Here’s a shot of the applicator.

It is a hard brush with a fine point at the end for precision glue placement.

I hope that this was helpful for you. Please give this item a try. We are sure that it will enrich your hobby life!

SWS Skyraider – Battleship Departure!

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

Hello to all of our SWS fans!

Jane here, bringing you fresh information on the pre-order bonuses for No. 3 in the Zoukei-mura Super Wing Series, the Douglas A-1H Skyraider! As I’m sure many of you know, both No. 1 and No. 2, the Shinden and the Ta 152, came with special bonuses for anyone who pre-ordered before the deadline — well, the Skyraider is no different. In fact, I would say that this time, the bonuses are better than ever before! Like I did with the Ta 152 (1, 2, 3), I’ll be writing a series of posts going over the bonuses that come with each of the different Skyraider sets.

So to start at the beginning: Skyraider pre-order Set A! Set A is our most basic pre-order set, containing one Skyraider kit. Doesn’t get simpler than that, right? Well, even our most basic set comes with a free pre-order bonus figure set — so without further ado, let me introduce you to the “Battleship Departure” set!*

*The “Battleship Departure” set is also included with Skyraider Set C.

"Battleship Departure" pre-order bonus figure set! Includes 1 seated pilot figure and 1 plane director figure.

Tame That Wig! ~ Basic Styling Part 1

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Hi everyone!

Recently, Dollfie Dream has been getting really popular.

We can definitely see why! These girls are cute and sexy. We have a large variety of parts to choose from, so customizing is easy and we also release characters from different games and shows from Japan.

Because of this, we have lots of customers who are new to Dollfie Dream and dolls in general, so we thought we’d do a series on basic wig styling to help you get started. These tips are also great for those of you who’ve just gotten started with Super Dollfie as well.

The styling of a DD’s wig can make all the difference when you are taking photos or posing her for display.

You can’t just put on her wig and expect it to look perfect. The wigs will behave similarly to your own hair, so they need some care before they are ready to make a good impression!

Everyone knows that the first step in maintaining their own hair is brushing it, so today I am going to go over the Tenshi-no-Hairbrush!

Ignore the "Volks USA" written on the side. This is our store sample. Yours would not have anything written on it.

This brush is one of the most basic items you need to have in your styling arsenal. But, you may ask, what can I do with only the brush?

Follow below and I’ll show you!

Showcase ~ W-87!

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011

Well hello!

Welcome back to the Sumika Times Blog!

We have another wig showcase for you today. This time it features the W-87, the Short Bob!

This is one of our older styles and it fits mostly dolls with larger heads. This makes it perfect for SDs like Nono and Ryo, or for SD13B Show, who is joining us for this showcase!

It is a basic, chin length bob with soft bangs. It curls under at the sides and back to frame your SD’s face!

SD13B Show(Old Standard/2008/2010 Renewal), SDG Mimi and SD13G Mimi (Old Standard/2008/2010 Renewal) are joining us this time.
