Wig Showcase ~ W-115!

Monday, December 27th, 2010

Heya!

Thanks for stopping by the Sumika Times!

Today I have another installment of the Wig Showcase for you!

I’m going to be showcasing one of our more popular styles, the W-115-Long Shaggy!

This wig is long, straight and soft, with gentle layers and a long fringe around the face. I’ve used it for both boys and girls styles and it looks great tied back.

Tools~ZM MM-Unit PC-C

Saturday, December 25th, 2010

Merry Christmas!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday!

Today I have something really interesting to show you, the ZM MM-Unit PC-C.

plugs01

You might be thinking “What are those things?” Well, I’m going to tell you today!

plugs02

In Super Dollfie, these plugs are most often used for our Fairy type heads, to secure their ears, but they are also used for other model kits and such.

They really help to hold small parts in firmly.

plugs03

It comes with two sheets of parts. One sheet has a variety of sizes, the other has all the same size.

plugs04

This size is really only used for model kits, but you might be able to find a use for them, anyway.

plugs05

If you have Fairy type SDs, this the the sheet you’ll want to pay attention to!

The two middle rows are the perfect size for both SD and MSD ear holes. They will need to be cut off and trimmed, but it’s only a little bit of work and worth it to know that your SD’s ears are secure.

If you have Old Skin SDs you may be interested in the bottom row as they are just the right size to replace the optional wrist plugs that used to come with their little hands. If these parts have gotten worn down or lost over time you can use these parts to replace them.

I hope this answers some questions for you. Don’t forget, if you need anything you can contact us directly at service@volksusa.com!

Hello again!

I have another notions showcase for you today!

6mmrounded_03

Today I will be showing you the 6mm Rounded Buttons!

These buttons are really cute and give a more professional feel to your pieces. You get 10 buttons in each package of this type.

Our FCS F-17 is modeling a lovely sailor style set made by Kayo, which uses the Dark Brown color. That color is sold out right now, but we hope to be able to stock them soon!

Regardless, this is a really good indicator of the scale of these buttons.

Tool Showcase~Mr. Plastic Dropper!

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Hello again!

Recently I’ve realized we have some tools and such on the website that you might not be familiar with.

So, in the vein of the previous notions blog, which I’ll be continuing more of later, I’ve decided to introduce you to some of these mystery tools.

Today is the Mr. Plastic Dropper (Short)!

dropper02

As you can see, the Mr. Plastic Dropper is made by Mr. Hobby, whom also release the Mr. Color paints and thinners which we carry. They have a huge presence in Japan for hobbyists and we are slowly introducing their items here. We hope that you are enjoying using them!

This dropper is the short version!  As you can see, every package comes with 5 droppers. So, if one gets too worn out or stained inside over time you can just replace it. How nice of them.

dropper01

The dropper is separated into CCs, or milileters, although most hobbyists don’t need that much precision.

These droppers are really wonderful for thinning paints, especially for airbrushing, as it allows you to dispense the thinner more precisely than just pouring.

It can also be used to mix different paints or transfer them to other containers for storage.

How many uses can you think of for this tool?
