Hello, everyone!
As you probably know by now, yesterday (November 20) was the beginning of our annual Tenshi-no-Sumika Fair — not only was the Full Choice System updated with new options, but the September Dress Collection and 2010 Renewal standard model Super Dollfies went on sale! Also, as Dandy’s post yesterday showed you, the main display has been revamped in celebration of Volks USA’s 5th anniversary, utilizing commemorative cards, letters, and photographs sent to us by our customers!
Ever since Volks USA first opened 5 years ago on November 19, 2005, we have been blessed with many amazing and loyal customers — we would not be here in the USA without all of you and your passion for Super Dollfie, Dollfie Dream, and Dollfie (and more recently, the Zoukei-mura Super Wing Series!), so from the bottoms of our hearts: thank you so very much for your patronage and devotion over the last five years. We hope that you will stay with us for many years to come!
5th anniversary gifts from customers -- baumkuchen from S.F., and cake from D.B.! Thank you so much!
Two of our customers, S.F. and D.B., chose to bring their anniversary gifts to the showroom — the first, S.F., is a very special customer who came all the way from Japan! Do you remember when we posted during the end-of-year holiday season last year about a certain customer who came to visit us to bring his completed Komame Stamp Rally Collection Sheet? Well, he came back to visit again this year, and brought some delicious baumkuchen with him!

Do you know baumkuchen? It’s a type of round, layered cake that resembles growth rings on a tree stump, giving it its name (’baumkuchen’ is German for ‘tree cake’ or ‘log cake’). Although it’s originally from Europe, it’s very popular as a dessert in Japan, and the baumkuchen that S.F. brought us was just mouth-watering — so much so, that as you can see, we just couldn’t wait to dig in!

D.B. is a wonderful regular customer who lives locally — his visits are always enjoyable, and we’re happy to see him even when he doesn’t bring us cake. ^_~ That he did bring us cake is, forgive the pun, just icing on the cake. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) We just barely managed to restrain ourselves enough to take a picture before we ate it — as you can see, he even had it decorated to commemorate the 5th anniversary!
In the end, whether you bring us cake or not, all of our customers are precious to us, and we treasure every moment we have with all of you. It is solely due to your support that Volks USA is still here five years later, and we hope to be here for many more years to come. Once again, we cannot begin to express our gratitude to all of our loyal customers — thank you so very much for the past five years. We have a lot in store for 2011 and beyond, so please look forward to it!
