Since we have covered the basic SD types and sizes, we thought it only fair to cover the various Dollfie Dream (DD) sizes and types too. DDs have become increasingly popular here at Volks USA within the last year and we get many inquiries about them from new and potential customers through email and store visits. Unlike the SD though, there is not a lot of publicized information on the different DD types and sizes. So, that is why we have prepared this special post for you!
Here we will show you pictures and talk a bit about the different DD types and sizes. We have also included detailed measurements, so be sure to take note. Our DD models had so much fun taking these photos for you:

Dollfie Dreams are a bit easier to understand than Super Dollfie, because, there is basically only three different body types available. And all three are easily accessible through our website here. Even most of the Limited Edition DDs have been released with one of the three body types, although skin tones and bust size have varied. But we’ll talk about that later on.
First, let’s have a look at our DD models in prospective sized scale:
We will start with the smallest girl first who is a custom Mini Dollfie Dream (MDD):
She is a HDD-01/Eyeholes Closed option head that was hand painted and put on a MDD Base Body. Despite the smaller body size, there is no specific head size for the body. Instead, the MDD can share the same head as the other DD girls. This girl’s head in particular is unique in that the eyeholes are closed which allowed the artist to paint the eyes in.
The MDD has a more child-like body in comparison to the other DD girls and stands 43.5 cm (approx. 17 inches) tall. This body type is a bit slimmer than then the Mini Super Dollfie, but can usually share the same clothing and shoes. Moreover, there are extra optional bust parts that can be purchased for the MDD which are shown here:

Additional MDD Measurements:
- S Bust: 15.5cm (approx. 6 inches)
- M Bust: 17cm (approx. 6 3/4 inches)
- L Bust: 18.3cm (approx. 7 inches)
- Waist: 13.5cm (approx. 5 inches)
- Hips: 18.5cm (approx. 7 inches)
- Leg length: 21cm (approx. 8 inches)
Next we will go over our two DD girls:
Their bodies are the same with the exception of their bust size. The girl on the left is Image Character Aoi. She is one of our Standard DD models. Aoi in particular comes pre-assembled with the Large Bust, but the DD Base Body she is on is regularly sold with the Medium Bust only.
The girl on the right is a HDD-04/ Eyeholes Open option head that was hand painted and attached on the DD Base Body. Both of these girl’s heads are unique in that the eyeholes are open which allows them to wear glass or acrylic eyes.
The DD Base Body comes regularly in Normal and Light skin tone and stands 57cm (approx. 22 inches ) tall. The DD Base Body is quite different from any one of our SD, so they usually can only wear clothing specifically labeled for DD Medium, or Large Bust. Like the MDD, the DD also has optional bust parts:

- M Bust: 22.5cm (approx. 9 inches)
- L Bust: 25cm (approx. 10 inches)
- Waist: 14.5cm (approx. 6 inches)
- Hips: 22.5cm (approx. 9 inches)
- Leg length: 31cm (approx. 12 inches)
Lastly, is our custom Dollfie Dream Dynamite (DDdy) girl:
She is a DDCH-A/Natural Skin, Center Parted, Silver option head on a DDdy Base Body that has been assembled with the Shapely Bust option part, rather than the default Normal Bust part. This girl’s head in particular is unique in that the face is without eyeholes or eye sockets so that the artist can paint in any eye shape he wishes. This head also comes with pre-rooted hair which means that the hair can not be separated from the head, although it can be easily styled. Like the other DD girls, option bust parts are available as shown:
Both of the above option bust parts are the same size, but the Shapely Bust is compacted to create more cleavage.
The DDdy body is quite different from the DD body as you can see here:
The DDdy has a larger bust, thicker waistline (in which the joint placement is higher), larger hips and bottom, and thicker thighs in comparison to the DD:
The DDdy is the same height as the DD though, standing at 57cm (approx. 22 inches) tall. Moreover, their body is quite different, so they can only wear clothing that is labeled specifically for DDdy.

- Normal Bust: 26.5cm (approx. 10 1/2 inches)
- Shapely Bust: 26.5cm (approx. 10 1/2 inches)
- Waist: 16cm (approx. 6 inches)
- Hips: 27.5cm (approx. 10 3/4 inches)
- Leg length: 30.5cm (approx. 12 inches)
