What are they for? ~Small parts that come with NEO-EB

You will find these small parts in your NEO-EB and Neo-EB Teens package:

Getting to know your parts: On the left is optional feet, to the right is a neck joint adjuster and small bars to fill in the screw holes, and the on right bottom is extra hand joints.

Her body is already assembled, so if you enjoy her as she is you may think that you do not need these parts, but they are useful. So, today I will explain what these parts are for.

The feet can be removed by just pulling them straight out of the joint, as pictured above, making it easy to change them with the optional feet. If you want to keep your doll bare footed, the optional feet are more suitable because they are made a little bit larger than the default feet for a more natural look. But, if you want your doll to wear shoes, than the default feet are better suited.

Next, the extra hand joints! They are tiny, so don’t lose them! You will need them when you want to use the NEO Hand Set. They are also good for making your own optional hands since you can just sculpt around the joint.

As you may have noticed, your doll has two deep screw holes on her back and two shallow ones on her thighs. You can hide them with the small bars by inserting them into the holes, as pictured above.

The two longer bars are for her back and the shorter ones are for her thighs. But, if they are too long, you can cut them down with the TAMIYA Modeler’s Knife, and finish by sanding the surface smooth with the TAMIYA Finishing Abrasives Ultra Fine.

Lastly, is the neck joint adujster. Some heads’ neck holes are wider than others. If you use a head with a wider hole for your NEO-EB body, and prefer a tighter fit, then use this adujster part before putting on the head on, as pictured above.

This part also works as a stopper for the Dollfie Plus Head.

And remember, every joint of your doll can become loose after a while, especially from removing and re-attaching joints, but don’t worry! Wrapping the joint’s shaft with a tiny piece of invisable tape will make the joint thicker and avoid it from coming off easily!

Do you find the NEO-EB a bit complicated? Well, they are not too difficult once you learn more about them, so try and enjoy them and try the above techniques anytime. Only one more important thing, which can be difficult for the me too (T_T), do not lose your NEO-EB option parts, they are not sold separately!
