Assembling Your MSD Kit: Part 2

Hello again! Did you find Part 1 of Assembling Your MSD Kit helpful? I sure hope so, because today we are going to begin right where we left off. Today, we are going to show you how to tighten your MSD body.

Here is a list of items you will need:

-Dollfie Stringing Tool for Head Parts

-Super Dollfie Clip Holder/150mm

-A good pair of scissors

- A pair of pliers (optional)

Follow below for the instructions!

Step- 1

Step 1: 1

Step 1:2

Step 1:1: Hold your MSD down firmly by the neck and shoulders and use the Dollfie Strining Tool for Head Parts to pull the S-hook and elastic up and out from the neck. Pull the elastic out at least an inch away from the neck and hold it out long enough to remove the knotted elastic piece from the S-hook with your free hand. Once you have separated the knotted elastic from the S-hook,  ease the S-hook and remaining elastic back to the neck.

Step 1:2: Next, take the knotted elastic and pull it up and out from the neck several inches and clamp it in place near the base of the neck with the Super Dollfie Clip Holder.

Step-2

Step 2: Once you have clamped the elastic in place, test the tension by holding together the two torsos and pulling on the legs. The tension of the body will determine how well your MSD moves, stands, and holds poses, so elastic tension is based on a personal preference. While a medium tension is good, some prefer a tighter tension and some prefer a looser tension. By pulling of the legs, you will get any idea of what tension you are at.

If you would like a tighter tension, simply pull more elastic out from the neck and re-clamp it. Or if you would like a looser tension, just ease some elastic back into the neck.

Step 4

Step 4: If you are satsifed with the tension you are at,  tie the elastic into a knot as tight as you can near the base of the Super Dollfie Clip Holder. If you are having trouble securing a tight knot with your fingers, you can also use a pair of pliers instead. After tying the knot, cut the elastic a little ways past the knot, leaving about an inch of loose ends.

Step 5

Step 5

Step 5: Lastly, release the Super Dollfie Clip Holder and attach the knotted elastic back onto the S-hook.

Now, Steps 1-5 are all demonstrated to show you how to tighten the main body, and this should be all you need to do. However, if the arms feel a bit loose you will want to tighten that elastic as well by using the same techniques. Once you are satisfied with the tension of the whole body, then you are done!

Tada! Our Myu has been tighten to a medium tension, so she is able to stand and hold her arms up without any support.

See? I told you tightening your MSD would be easy, at least much easier than initially assembling the body together. And over time your MSD will become loose and will need tightening again, so knowing how to do that is especially an important skill.

We hope you were able to follow along with this lesson, and we hope that will be here with us next time for the remaining two chapters on Assembling Your MSD Kit!
