Hi! Bailey here, with a new weekly series featuring our Standard Model SDs.
I’m sure you know that we have Standard Model SDs, but did you know that they are all very versatile? With this series I am going to be introducing all of our Standards, one by one, so that you can get to know them a little better, and so that you can see some of the potential that these Models have using only simple changes.
First off I am going to talk to you a little bit about Standards.
Standard Models are great for beginning SD Owners because they already come with a detailed faceup, eyes, and a wig. All that is left is to dress your new SD in your choice of fashions. Since wigs are easily changed they are a great way to change your SD’s look, and coordinate with different outfits. Once you become more familiar with SD you can also change their eyes and makeup if you’d like.
Standards are also great for more experienced SD Owners. These base models are more affordable, so you can start out with a basic doll, and build your way up to create them in your image without feeling too bad about changing a Limited Face-up, or fashions.
As I am sure you could tell by the title, this week’s Standard Model Showcase is Megu!
2008 Renewal Model Standard Megu
This is how Megu looks straight out of the box. She comes with straight cut, black hair, and dark brown, expressive eyes. Cute huh? But maybe she is not your style? That is ok! We are going to change her wig and clothing so you can see different sides of Megu.
I mostly wanted to show off the SD body here for those of you who might not be as familiar with it.
The basic SD body is an unjointed torso, giving her a beautiful body line. She has a small bust and hips, so she looks like a sweet, young girl. In this picture she is wearing wig W-103-02 Long Shaggy Gradient- Natural and one of our Lingerie Box selections
Onto the next selection.
In these pictures Megu has a soft look. Her lighter hair matches her natural makeup well, and the pink in her dress brings out the pink in her lips and eye makeup. Don’t you want to share a cookie with this country cutie?

Megu’s last look! Are you ready?
Here Megu has a darker, still cute look. I wanted her to look more like a gothic lolita, or fantasy character. Her dark clothing and pale purple hair contrast nicely. This is more of a fall/winter look, with soft velvets, and the fuzzy faux fur. What do you think?
