Eyelashes can add a special touch to any Dollfie, so why not give it a try with our help? But, please keep in mind that adding eyelashes is a more advanced technique that envolves sharp objects, so please only attempt if you are comfortable doing so, and be careful!

For this project you need to use a small eyelash,  so we reconmend using our SD Eyelash Set which includes a smaller pair of eyelashes that is perfectly sized for Dollfies and comes in a varierty of colors. Once you have settled on a pair of eyelashes, you will want to prepare them by cutting them to a suitable width for your doll’s eyes; using an Eyelash Scissor will make this project much easier. Once you have prepared the eyelashes, then you are really ready to begin.

First, you will need to make a shallow slice along the doll’s upper eye line using a Craft Knife. Once you have finished both eyes, squeeze the head from the sides gently between your fingers until the slices pop open. Once they are open, you can insert the eyelashes into the slices to determine if the eyelash width is appropriate. If the eyelashes are too wide, you can just cut off the protruding ends. Once you have adjusted the eyelash width, remove the eyelashes to make way for the glue!

Next, you will need to apply glue. For this step, you can use any white craft glue and a sewing needle. To apply the glue, add some glue to the tip of your needle and use the needle to line the slice with glue. Once you have lined the slice with glue, you can insert the eyelashes, one at a time, using the needle to securely push them in. If you squeeze the head from top and bottom between your fingers, the pressure created will seal the eyelash and slice closed. Once you are done with both eyes, place the head in a secure place until the glue has dried.

Lastly, if the lashes are too long, please cut them to the desired length. Again, an Eyelash Scissor would be very helfpful for this. Once you have done that, you’re done! But, if you are feeling very creative, you can always use the same techniques to add lower lashes to your doll’s eyes to create a dramatic or gothic look.

We hope this information was helpful to you and easy to understand. If you would like a more detailed instruction of how to apply eyelashes, Ayumi has made an instructional manga for you, so please ask for it with your next order! And please look forward to more tutorials in the future!
