Dolpa LA event schedule is updated!

Today, we would like to announce that the Dolpa LA event schedule is updated!
It is only two days! But those days have full of events for you to enjoy entirely!

There are some additions in the updated event schedule.
Especially, it is very important for you to check the time of dinner party registration, vote closing, and SD workshop. Please do not forget to check them before the event.

There are difference in the Dolpa LA participant buttons, is it true?

There are two kinds of participant button which will be handed to you at the registration.
The one with flower sticker is for the attendees’.
The one without sticker is for the companions’. (Please refer pictures below.)

Why does attendees’ button have flower sticker?

The way to enjoy the Dolpa is different for attendees and companions!
So the flower stickers are there to see who are attendee and companion.

For example, attendees will be able to purchase Dolpa LA limited items at the Dolpa Market VOLKS Booth!
When you receive tickets for limited items, VOLKS staff will ask you to show your participant button.
Please put it on your cloth where other people can see.

This event looks like and will have totally different ideas than
the VOLKS Tea Parties which had been held at VOLKS Mansion before.

For those who is “definitely going to join this time!” and for those who is “maybe going to join this time...?!”, everybody,
please do not miss the information which will be more exciting!

There are announcements from US Dolpa Committee.

First, this is about our company President Mr. Shigeta's speech at the Halloween Tea Party which was held at VOLKS Mansion on last November.
Since Mr. Shigeta told his dream which was “we would like to charter a jumbo jet, and bring Japanese personal venders who are active in the Japanese Dolpa to the Dolpa in Los Angeles”, US Dolpa Committee has tried our best to prepare and make this dream come true.

However, unexpected problems have been arising suddenly.
First of all, unpredictable huge change in the exchanges rate of Yen and Dollar!
At one moment, Yen was depreciated 126% against $1.
This highlighted the most serious and severe situations that we need to consider in every condition.
Started from air tickets, all economical conditions, which required for Japanese venders to participate the event in the US, jacked up suddenly.
Even though they would like to join the Dolpa, they cannot because of all expenses.

Also we found there were several other problems which needed to be solved, such as legal problems regarding VISA and much more.
Although VOLKS Japan and VOLKS USA really drive everything forward to realize our dream that is to hold the same Dolpa as it in Japan, we must announce that this time we won't be able to make that happen.

But someday, all SD owners and venders from Japan and America gather and spend a wonderful time together at Dolpa in Los Angeles. Until that, we will continue our efforts.

We would like to ask your support to make that day to come as soon as possible.

For the Japanese SD fans, we are planning to open spaces for 30 people on the Dolpa in LA 2007.
And this is scheduled to be announced from VOLKS Japan to customers who are interested to attend very soon.

Next announcement is about the big project that US Dolpa Committee is trying.

That is to make FCS order available during Dolpa in LA 2007.
