     The end of April is quickly approaching! You know what this means- the first leg of the Dollfie World Cup will be over! All entries for the SD make-up competition must be received by Tuesday, April 30th!

     Even though you don’t plan on entering the contest, perhaps you’ve had an interest in some of the DWC special items? We have limited quantities available, so if you were hesitating before, please don’t wait too long! Whatever is left is whatever will be available- we will not be getting any more stock!

     Also! Once May 12th (Sunday) comes around, we will no longer have these special items available! This means you have about two weeks to make your purchases! Don’t miss out!

Agreement Upon Entry

1. Applications will be accepted from:

April 28th at 11:00am PST until May 1st at 11:00am PST

2. During the entry period, click the order button of the Dolls Party 29 Limited Items you want to purchase.
We cannot accept orders for additional items along with Web Dolpa 29 orders. If you wish to purchase additional items, please place a separate order.

Each customer may enter once for each item. If we notice several entries for one item purchased by the same person, we will cancel the entire order of that person.

3. The payment option is credit card payment (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX or DISCOVER) only.
We cannot accept other methods such as layaways, money orders, personal checks, etc.

4. Check out your order, and fill out your information, including your credit card information.
You might see the cost shown on the screen but it will not be charged at this time. In some instances, your bank may place an authorization hold for the total on the card; however, the funds are not actually withdrawn until you have won the lottery and the transaction is completed.

Only the lottery winners will be charged.

5. We are planning to contact the winners of the lottery around mid-May by e-mail only. We will also delete the orders of the other applicants to make sure that they will not be charged.

6. Please be aware that we cannot accept any changes in the order at all including shipping address, credit card information, receiver’s name or cancellation of the order.

Hailing from the Edo period just like our Shinsengumi friends, unfortunately I don’t think they’ll be making any friends with Hijikata and Okita any time soon. Ryōma is an important figure of the opposing side, but without him, a lot of changes in Japan would never have happened! And here is his lovely but bold wife, Ryo! The coast is clear, you two! I won’t tell the Shinsengumi I saw you!

Kimono Set for Beautiful Girls
     Maybe you might have gotten some of these in the past. Volks’ Kimono Sets are made out of vintage real Kimono fabric to recreate something as realistic as an actual human-sized Kimono. All of them are different in colors, patterns, etc., so it’s best to release them where there’s a chance that customers can see them in person! Almost everything is recreated closely to a real Kimono, so it may be a little tricky to dress them, but don’t worry! The obi belt is constructed in a convenient way, so you don’t have to learn how to tie it, which is the most difficult part of a Kimono. If you need any help, don’t hesitate to ask any of us at our booth!

New Book “Intro to Super Dollfie Makeup”
     We have just released a new book in Japan, focused on how to make up Super Dollfie on your own. It’s not only about techniques and tips but also contains a lot of makeup sample pictures of the new DWC heads. Though it is in Japanese, these pictures are definitely helpful and enjoyable!
     The general release here at Volks USA will be later together with the HTDP Osaka7 Collection, but we will carry a limited number of this book at IDEX2013! If you are lucky enough, you may even request an autograph from MIKEY at our booth, who is our head doll artist who is the editorial supervisor of this book!

What are One-Off Models?
     One-Off Models are our one-of-a-kind Super Dollfies. They are only available at special occasions such as Dolls Party, One-Off Model Debut Day in Japanese stores, etc.
     Our doll artists pick the best combination of head, body, wig, outfit, etc. for One-Offs, so they often have different combination from their original debut as limited items, FCS, etc. Their make-up is done by the cream of the crop. The name of the artist who is responsible for the makeup of each One-Off Model is always declared. Sometimes wigs and eyes are from past limited items or wigs that we have never released. Outfits are made by Japanese outfit dealers who we have contracts with. So, basically everything about them is special! No doll is ever alike when it comes to the One-Off Models.

How can I get the One-Off Model at IDEX2013?

Step1: Take a look at the one-off model display and decide which one you want to welcome between 9:00AM and 3:30PM!
*One-Off Models are available as they are. We do NOT offer any substitutions.
*You can enter for as many One-Off Models as you want!

Step2: Once you decide, please fill out an entry form and hand it to a Volks staff member.
*We do NOT accept any changes after your entry.
*Only one entry per customer! If we receive multiple entries from the same customer, we will cancel all entries from that person.

Step3: Winner announcement is at 4:00PM. Please come back to our booth between 4:00 and 5:00PM!
*If you don’t finish payment and pick-up on Saturday, your winning right will be waived and the One-Off Model will be available for anyone on Sunday! Don’t forget to come back!

Step4: If you win the lottery, we will process your payment and she/he is all yours!
*We will check your ID for winner certification, so please make sure to write your information just as it is on your ID. If they don’t match, you can’t welcome your One-Off Model even if you win! Be careful!
*If you win, the purchase right is only for you. You can’t transfer it to anyone.
